Nicolas Belfrage | Light yellow with a faint ramato tinge. Alluring scented nose. Weighty and concentrated in the mouth, with good viscosity and flavor, dry on the finish but with plenty of ripe fruit, long and serious. A thinking man’s Pinot Grigio, good with light meats and goat’s cheeses. | 94
Bruno Besa | Bright orange-pink. Intense, herbal, cranberry and pink-grapefruit nose.Balanced, layered, intense palate, with a long, herbal finish. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Enticing pale salmon-pink. Quite a weighty peachiness here, as if the peaches had been crushed to juice and there were some leaves floating around in it, too. Some oak, too? The overall effect is attractive and engaging, but not as subtle, polished, and fine as the best of its peers. On the palate, this is a broad-beamed Pinot Grigio with some oak, mid-levels of concentration, and relatively soft acidity. In this case I think the oak has drained some of the succulence out of the fruit, though I am not opposed to it in principle. Nonetheless, this is a serious pink-white, which deserves a place on restaurant tables. | 87
