BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Mid-straw, with some golden notes. Strange, mango/pear-skin nose, with a faint hint of vomit. The wine is almost tannic on the palate, with a dry, textured, slightly bitter finish and broad flavors. It might work better with food 13.5

Nicolas Belfrage: 1 = color of water and 9 = deep gold: Col 4–5, almost ramato. Full, mature, ripe, and concentrated fruit on palate, perfumed, almost edible. Far from normal Ribolla Gialla but lots of character of the love-it-or-hate-it variety. The cidery touch suggests vino vero, but not exaggerated; still lots of personality 17

Alex Hunt: Gently cabbagy nose—more of these vegetal-sulfide aromas than fruit. The palate is rather hard and blunt, and the alcohol seems to send those vegetable whiffs back up the nose on the finish. Not a lot of pleasure here 13
