Nicolas Belfrage: (cc: water-pale = 1; deep gold = 9) cc4. A depth of color that is not typical of northerly Italian PG suggests Friuli or barrique, or both. Considerable grasso on palate, verging on the unctuous; perfumed and unashamedly so; technically dry but full of flavor, which lasts. Lovely combination of opulent and dry/mineral- 17
Marcel Orford-Williams: Very deep color—the deepest of the Italian set. Creamy toffee smell and dried apricot, too. Full-bodied, rich, though fully dry. Not bad and not too heavy, but finish is disappointing. Dry, and drying out- 13
Joanna Simon: Pinky straw color. Ripe, spicy nose— touch of botrytis? Ripe, spicy, peppery palate. Tropical fruit mixed with fresher fruit. Quite weighty and concentrated. Some phenolic presence, but not too much. Acidity in balance. Rich style, if just a little hefty- 15.5
