BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Rich purple. Very youthful in appearance. A little closed on the nose, but with lots of potential power and some sweet oak. Excellent palate: spicy, dense, concentrated, balanced. Still needs time, but this is a very impressive wine. Silky, elegant, polished, and very long. Take that, Australia! - 18.5

Alex Hunt: Interesting, very appealing nose: blackberries, graphite, a lot of focus. Convincing energy on the palate, too. Firm fruit tapers to pepper; pretty long- 15.5

Anthony Rose: A fresh and vivid youthful dark ruby in the glass, some attractive dark fruits and sweet spice and pepper on the nose; this has a textured, savory feel to complement the sweet, blackberry-fruit element; it’s extremely supple and juicy on the palate, with an infusion of sweet spice and pepper in medium-bodied, New Zealand-meets- Crozes style. Very approachable, if not for the long haul- 16
