Tim Atkin: Youthful, vibrant purple. Attractive redfruit- and-pepper-spice nose, understated oak. Violets, plums, and cracked pepper on the palate. Gentle, silky tannins; wellintegrated acidity. Medium weight, good length. Very quaffable. Drink now- 17
Alex Hunt: Vivid purple; youthful and closed on the nose. This has promising aromatic depth, with new oak in evidence but not to excess. The bramble fruit and a certain smoky/leafy quality are classically Syrah, while there is plenty of New World “fat” and breadth on the palate. Slightly raw at present, it needs to retain its vigor as it opens and harmonizes- 14.5
Anthony Rose: Vivid youthful color, lovely warm rich smoky, licorice spice and peppery aromas. Very promising, this is intense on the palate, initially juicy in texture, with an infusion of pepper and licorice, a hint of bittersweet chocolate, and dark berry fruits. Balances freshness with real finesse- 17.5
