SF | Generous crimson, with a modest rim. A cornucopia of fruit allusion, mainly red and blue, with myrtle and loganberry at the forefront of the imagination; behind that, hints of chalk, fig, and scrub. The palate sings in a more minor key, with hints of gravel and incense moderating any more indulgent aspiration; heady and broad, its acidity poised, lending a statuesque character, a petrichor peroration underlining gravitas and gastronomic potential. 91
AR | A youthful, primary ruby in color, this is both fresh and fragrant in aroma, combining inviting notes of cedary oak and black fruit. To taste, the fruit is also still in the first flush of youth, vividly cassis-like, with a veneer of oak sitting on top, the fruit balanced by marked acidity and a texture whose tannins are present without being in any way harsh, but clearly needing time to soften and integrate into what should morph into a stylish wine in time. 92
DW | Vibrant purple color. Attractive, pretty, youthful berries on the nose; very clean and tight, with young, fine, chalky tannins, sappy Loire-ish fruit character, some crunch and freshness, and good length. Refreshing and pretty if not yet particularly complex. 90
