Tim Atkin: Saturated color. Rich, oaky, slightly pruney. Dense, quite alcoholic, lots of flavor, but a little OTT. Chocolate and oak. Some dry tannins. Not sure this will age. Dry finish- 15

Alex Hunt: Excessive volatile acidity on the nose. The palate shows good plump Syrah fruit, nicely balanced tannins—ripe but still with some grip—and fine overall depth. But the wine is aromatically compromised by VA - 13

Anthony Rose: Good dense ruby hue; fine aromatic quality, with classic spicy undertones. Good, richly concentrated blackberry-fruit flavors with typical infusion of clovey, cinnamony spice, fine-textured richness and acidity, albeit that’s slightly chunky and firm on the finish- 16
