Richard Mayson: A high-yielding year, with a prolonged summer drought: brick-red core, amber rim; fine, fragrant, open floral character that typifies a fully mature Vintage Port; very beautiful on the palate, soft and suave, retaining flesh and body, with milk-chocolate depth and length. Really lovely to drink now but not, I think, a wine to keep for any length of time. Drink to 2018. 15
