Andrew Jefford: Saturated dark black-red. Earthy, meaty, and warm: an aroma of much happier and more uncomplicated ripeness than its stablemate Tourelles. Satisfying, beefy, and good. And much the same on the palate. This isn’t a wine of huge finesse, but it delivers admirable ripeness, depth, and density of fruit for the vintage and for its peer group, and some textural richness, too: satisfying claret with some aging potential. 2018–26. 91
Michael Schuster: Closed, light, cedary nose; medium-full, brisk in acidity, finely tannic; firm, slightly austere flavor, a “just ripe” character, still chewy in texture, modest in scope and length; needs time. Slightly sinewy Pauillac. 2020–30+. 87
