Andrew Jefford: Dark, saturated black-red. A lovely scent: soft black fruits, fine leather, a touch of creamy warmth, a nascent savory note. On the palate, this is smooth yet softly textured, with impressively pristine blackcurrant fruit teased toward perfect ripeness, and with less biting acidity than many of its Margaux peers. No coarseness or bitterness. An outstanding Marquis d’Alesme and model work with this slightly tricky season. 2018–26. 91

Michael Schuster: Ripe-fruited to smell; medium-full, brisk in acidity, lightly, drily tannic; crisp red-fruit flavor of moderate scope and length, savory if on the slightly austere side. Give it a few years, and moderately rich fare! 2019–29. 87
