Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep black-red. Some oak is palpable here, but not flamboyantly so, and the fruit is restrained. It is ripe, but this is the first of the Pomerol flight where anything has reminded me of pressed leaves; there’s a green brushstroke or two here, which some will like and some will not. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, “elegant” if you want, but as a 2012 Pomerol I feel a little disappointed and would have liked some more wealth and amplitude here. 2018–21. 88
Michael Schuster: Sweetly ripe and fragrant to smell; nicely balanced, finely tannic, medium-full wine; ripe, refined, gently complex flavor, long and savory to taste, with a nice, gentle tannin texture—overall, harmonious and with a fine, fragrant length. Elegant, stylish Pomerol. 2022–35. 92
