Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark black-red. Slightly dry scents, with the bubbling black fruits beneath, though you have to search. Soft and satisfying, with a little more tannin than some of the simpler wines in the flight, and some impressive nascent complexity of flavor. It’s toward the fresher rather than the richer end of the Pomerol spectrum—blackcurrants rather than plums, indeed. A fine entry point for the vintage. 2018–21. 90
Michael Schuster: Discreet, oaky nose, faintly leafy; full, fresh, moderately concentrated, finely tannic; sweet in flavor, long, gentle, graceful in flavor, delicately complex and with a fine, gentle, fruit persistent, spicy length. A touch dry from the new wood, but full of promise. 2022–30+. 89
