BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Dark, inky color. Ripe, intense nose. Lots of personality. Plum, bramble, and blackberry. Very young wine, still showing quite a bit of oak, but with more than enough fruit and acidity for balance. An impressive wine that will develop over the next 3–6 years. Modern style, essence of Argentina. Long. 17

Alex Hunt: Intense cassis aroma with notes of chocolate and subtly toasty oak. Suave entry, and a refined, medium-bodied texture, though it turns a bit green and short on the finish. 14.5

Anthony Rose: Vivid, inky, youthful ruby; appealing, vivid cherryish nose, with a stylish touch of vanilla oak. Attractively sweetly ripe mulberry and dark-cherry fruit flavors on the palate, with a fair whack of savory oak but a backbone of supple tannins and fresh acidity. Still young, needs time for the oak to soften down a bit and fruit to come through, but lots of fruit appeal. 16.5
