Tim Atkin: Super-dense, concentrated color. Aromatic, rich, if verging toward overripe on the nose. Sweet oak, powerful, lots of sweet blackberry and violet fruit. Medium tannins. Vibrant fruit, but slightly raw acidity. Needs 3+ years. 16

Alex Hunt: Gentle blackberry and spice aromas. A certain funk on the palate (presumably Brett) and a rather angular structure. 11

Anthony Rose: Good dense color, attractively spicy red-fruit nose. Very good, concentrated, rich red-berry-fruit flavors; still youthful, concentrated, ripe, and rich, with lovely, fresh, elegant acidity, perfectly integrated oak, and firm yet supple tannins. Overall, excellent balance of fruit, structure, and freshness. Classy stuff. 17
