Tim Atkin: Ruby/brick red. Some development. Mature, complex, red-fruit, savory nose. Almost Pinot Noir-like. Soft, supple, leafy. Good oak integration. Sweet tannins. Complex. High alcohol but enough fruit for balance. 16.5

Alex Hunt: Some quite attractive minerally evolution on the nose. Neat. The palate, however, is a little peculiar: quite tannic, with relatively lightweight red fruit and an overdose of savory flavor. Perhaps this would have been better younger. 12

Anthony Rose: Quite surprisingly evolved and garnet in color for its age. Smells rather lifeless and leathery/coffeeish. On the palate, it lacks fruit, richness, and middle, with chunky, dry tannins overtaking any semblance of fruit. This should be drunk now or, if not, put up against a wall and put out of its misery. 13
