BUY THE WINE

Jesús Barquín: Very pale. Decently expressive nose, marked by ripe grapes and a spicy note. The palate is fresh and expressive, long, though not altogether harmonious due to a slightly unbalanced acidity. 85

Andrew Jefford: Clear lemon-gold. Quite a lot of sulfur dioxide here, but if you shake it off you’ll find a wine of clean, simple orchard fruit. On the palate, it has a little more concentration than many of its peers, though in terms of fruit style it remains more neutral than most (in what may prove to be a tasting of excessive neutrality). To its credit, it would work well at table and has length, depth, and structure. 81

Richard Mayson: Fresh, open, ripe apple aromas combinedwith a touch of toast; very similar on the palate, crisp appley acidity leading to a zesty finish.Well balanced if a bit simple in style. 84
