SF | Dense onyx core, garnet at the rim; the first flush of youth. Reticent nose, reduction a just impediment to discovery. The taster's argument with the wine is speedily and fortuitously resolved on the palate, however; the fruit is sweet, generous, and balanced, the tannins deft of construction, ripe above all, but not excessively so, and the finish is poised and precise. An excellent illustration of a youthful Maipo wine from an impressive site. 93
AR | Youthful in color and pleasingly aromatic, combining dark fruit and oak seamlessly, this is tight-knit and concentrated, just easing out of its primary stage into a wine that's almost approachable, thanks to a rich, cassis-like core at the center, underpinned by stylish, integrated oak and an energy and balance derived from both refreshing acidity and oak-rounded tannins; there's enough vigor here to indicate that it should continue to improve in bottle if cellared under the right conditions. 92
DW | Sweetly, simply, if by no means unattractively, fruited, there is a slightly extracted feel here, the tannins a little awkward, with some sweet and charry oak encroaching and some heat coming through on the finish. 86
