SF | Near aubergine colour, with a nose of plums and spice, Assam tea behind and a whisper of white pepper A finely delineated spina vertebrate, with acidity plentiful but not overbearing in support and a richly delineated denouement, which plays to the strengths already observed and thereby underlines the quality of the ensemble. 93
AJ | Dark black-red; near opaque at the core. More aromatic restraint here than for many of its peers, with the fruits shrouded in notes of forest and apothecary spice; teasingly appealing. The threads are tautly gathered on the palate; fine length to the fruits and some tannic sinew, too, all the while without vitiating the svelte Margaux line. There's nothing else quite like this in the appellation and it's very good in a thoughtful, un-showy and discreet style.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2034. 92
MS | Richly, seductively fruity to smell; rich, full bodied, freshly defined, finely tannic, very well constituted; deep, sweet, sapid wine, abundant and succulent in fruit, long to taste, retaining its Margaux identity, its depth and richness notwithstanding; complex and satisfying and with very nice length to finish too. A most attractive, sumptuously complete Malescot. Needs a few years. Drink Dates: 2028 - 2040+. 92
