AJ | Dark, dense black red. Fresh, warm, ample and welcoming aromas of leaf, fruit and undergrowth. Better aromatic detail than many here; teasing and pure, though very fresh. Light, darting and fresh on the palate, though with some texture for all that. Very much carried by its acidity this year, which is arresting and driving and with a ripely leafy style. Bright, almost shocking Pauillac, but very stylish.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2034. 91
MS | An unformed nose as yet, tight, muted blackcurrant Cabernet, subtly gravelly; full, fresh, firmly tannic; a finely sinewy Pauillac, firm but tasty tannins back a pure, sweetly fresh, mineral marked fruit, with a good length of flavour and finish; close grained finesse-within-firmness. Elegant, fairly long term, complete Haut Bages. Very good. Drink Dates: 2033 - 2045+. 92
