SF | Deep ruby, a hint of blue at the core. Classic nose of loganberry , crushed raspberry , smoke and tea.... maybe even a hint of rhubarb! The palate is approachable, with tobacco leaf evidenced, spice and just a hint of sapidity at the back. Good gastronomically, this not threatening structural integrity. The finish is impressive too, with just a hint of sweetness to counterbalance any intimation of salinity or whatever it was earlier on.... 91
MS | A delicately ripe red cherry and subtle mineral nose; fairly full, fresh to lively in acidity, firmly but finely tannic, some of that tannin a finely dry oak texture, an ample yet refined balance; freshly sweet, relatively delicate in flavour, marked by an aromatic complexity rather than a marked fruit core, so to speak; long and subtle, a touch alcohol warm, long and fragrant to finish. Very nice, if likely to be a touch austere for some time. Drink Dates: 2032 - 2045+. 92
