Chateau du Tertre Margaux Bordeaux France 2019 (13.5% ABV) — 90.7
SF | Dense saturated colour; evocative nose, the aromatic of the vineyard in high summer, pollen, dried hay and the ripe fruit on the vine, awaiting collection...an honest , inspiring work of art, tannins leavened evenly , acidity just as it should be, an allusive, impulsive wine, the whole perhaps greater than the parts, the message salutary and uplifting., 92
AJ | Dark, deep, dense black-red, opaque at the core. Sweet-fruited, some oak apparent. Soft, amply contoured, with a sweeter style of fruit than for many of its peers; soft tannins. The oak is a little prominent and the fruit straightforwardly defined, but there is much to enjoy too in this generous wine.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 89
MS | An attractive early bouquet of ripe fruit and subtle gravel; medium full, fresh in acidity, fine in tannin, an elegant Margaux balance; freshly sweet to taste, taut, savoury, sapid, with a nice length of flavour, and a fine aromatic persistence. Excellent du Tertre. Complete, restrained, subtle, long. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2040+. 91
