AJ | Dark black-red though no longer opaque. Warm and full, with both vegetal/leafy and fruit notes evident in soft-focus style. Freshly poured, it has some of the sweet charm of `21 Margaux in general, though with time in the glass the vegetal notes prove dominant. Soft and open on the palate; not a wine that needs much cellar time. It's true to the wine's aromas though here the fruits have the upper hand over leafiness, in soft focus, fresh-vintage style. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2031. 85
SF | Deep saturated ruby and a muscular nose dominated by summer plants and dark fruit; gum esteva, lilac and gunpowder. Classic Du Tertre in other words, never far from the soil! Flowers and fruit entwine the palate too , with a firm corridor of acidity and a strong finish too. An impressive second wine. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2035. 89
