AJ | Deep, clear and bright black-red. Creamy-varnishy scents, but some fruits too: a wooden bowl of strawberries on a library table. Haunting and attractive, though the appeal is a less classical than for many this year. Very pretty nonetheless. MP | Closed on the nose with subtle stewed red fruit, liquorice and hay. The palate doesn't presage much - the tannins are very obvious and oak-derived and the fruit is stewed and poorly delineated.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2028. 88
