Stephen Brook: Sprightly lime nose, super-ripe; medium-bodied, very sweet for Auslese, candied lemons. Lacks a little raciness but fine fruit; moderate length. Very good but lacks a little excitement. 16

Margaret Rand: Lovely rich, delicate, taut wine, very sweet, lush, with a refined backbone well padded with flesh. Mineral, concentrated, and with very good length; a lovely long, delicate finish. Classic stuff. 16.5

Jancis Robinson: Slight spritz and greenish. Fresh and spring flowers on the nose—so light and airy! Quite a bit of sulfur still. Very delicate, with the acidity well hidden by the honeyed bouquet, already evolving. Very clean finish, but certainly one of the lightest wines in the lexicon. Great finesse. Drink 2012–22. 18.5
