Stephen Brook: Lush botrytis nose but not overblown; peaches and bruised apples. Leaner on the palate, with a crisp, appley attack; intense, with some pineapple flavor emerging on the mid-palate. Racy, poised, and very long. A classic style, thanks to the enlivening acidity. 18.5
Margaret Rand: Very rich, intensely sweet, very long. Sweetness takes over, with little space on the palate left for complexity. It seems young, so will evolve. And there is finesse there. 16
Jancis Robinson: Pale greenish straw. Very classic, tightly furled notes on the nose. Wonderful freshness and vigor and delicacy—what verve! Flowers and super-cleanliness. Just titillates the palate with its hints of delights to come; whisks over it with a feather duster. For the moment the acidity makes more of an impression than what is obviously an amazing richness of fruit. Great stuff! To be left alone for many a year. What a shame we don’t have more examples from the Mosel in this tasting… Drink 2015–30. 19
