Alison Buchanan: Jet prune/mahogany in color. This has a slightly briney, prune-rich nose, with hints of olive. The palate is scarily attractive. Sublimely rich, it is not in the least cloying and retains freshness and vitality throughout. Orchard and citrus fruits add complexity, as do caramelized nuts. Luscious and long. 17.5

Julian Jeffs: Deep color, good nose. A straightforward, mature PX, with a good finish. 14
