Simon Field: Oloroso coloring, attractive nose, with the orange grove and the dairy at the forefront of one’s Impressionistic palette. A little disappointing in the mouth, the lyricism of the nose unfulfilled, the back of the palate a little disappointing. 14

Richard Mayson: Mid-amber; attractive smoky aromas, autumnal, slightly singed; fine, clean savory-sweet flavors. Figgy richness perfectly offset by acidity; green-tea finish. Very fine. 17.5

Margaret Rand: Slightly backward nose; some smoke and roundness. Palate is gentle, with a respectable finish. Good balance and nice depth. Sound wine, though you wouldn’t die of excitement. 16
