Simon Field: Distinctive lighter coloring, notes of vanillin, hazelnut, and milk chocolate. On the palate, lightweight yet quite spirity; malty and seemingly somewhat unformed. 13

Richard Mayson: Pale mid-amber—unusually pale. Rather dusty, slightly spicy with a hint of cigar box. More character on the palate, dried apricots, fresh acidity, and a slight astringency on the finish. Well defined if lacking a bit in expression. 14.5

Margaret Rand: Complex nose of smoked fish, smoked cheese. Palate very complex and characterful, rich and sourly pungent; fascinating. Long, clean finish. Great poise and balance. 18.5
