BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Dense, super-concentrated, masses of color. Masses of oak, tannic, soupy, high alcohol, lots of oak, some VA and pruney, some oxidation. Alcohol drying out the fruit. I find this difficult to like, let alone drink. Modern. 9

Jesús Barquín: Deep purple cherry. Excessive, hyperextracted, overoaked. Quality tannins and acidity do not suffice to make it an enjoyable wine. Modern. 14

Marcel Orford-Williams: Blackstrap. Priorato-like. Very dark and ripe. Seems to have no identity. More or less undrinkable. Overextracted. Tannic and lacking middle palate. This is surely not the answer. 8
