BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, but not opaque. Fresh and perfumed: green, brisk hedgerow vegetation in spring but with flowers rippled through the leaves. Poised, enticing and fragrant; lots of aromatic energy at this stage. Violets under the hedge, even. Bright, clean, curranty depths almost untroubled by tannins and without evident wealth and width, but very singing and lyrical, poised and fresh. Teased to the first fulcrum of ripeness and not beyond, but there’s a lovely quality to the grapes—hence that lyrical, fragrant charm. I wouldn’t keep it long but it will bring much pleasure pro tem. | 88

Michael Schuster | Lightly gravelly nose; light, fresh, barely any tannin; crisp in red-fruit flavor, straightforward, simple, easy, and pleasing. As so often, an appealing lesser expression of the commune. Drink young. Now to 2025. | 87
