Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black-red, and still just opaque at the core. Classy and true, with a little of the visceral aromatic appeal of good-vintage Pomerol: fat plum, spice, beef. Sensually enticing and no mixed ripeness here. Ample fruit, and a fresher style than many: early-season plum and pippy Scottish raspberry. Not heavy or unctuous at all; poised and dancing, with as much raspberry acidity as tannins, and those tannins snowflake-soft. Fresh, graceful, and attractive: a fine reading of the vintage, and a striking contrast to Clinets of an earlier era. | 91
Michael Schuster | Freshly ripe fruit to smell; medium-full, fresh in acidity, firmish in tannin; an elegant, mid-weight, tastily red-cherry-sweet in flavor, long, aromatic, transparent, and with a fine fragrant persistence. Very good, but give it a few years. 2027–40+. | 92
