Stephen Brook | Crisp, lively nose, apple and white peach, with a beguiling sprightliness. The palate is richer and weightier than the nose would suggest, but there is firm acidity and considerable minerality. Spicy, complex, and persistent, and there’s tremendous drive across the palate to the finish. Entirely persuasive and very long. An excellent wine with a fine future. | 18

Andrew Jefford | Pale gold. Excellent work here: some developed Riesling fruit (apple, grape, and white peach), with some of the doughiness that is so characteristic of the infant charm of European Riesling. After a little longer in the glass, I smell Shredded Wheat. Good work. On the palate, this is, in fact, exuberantly citric (in other words, complex fruit allusions), with zesty fruit acidity and a clear “mineral” trace. Just a touch oily at the end, but overall this is a very good Riesling that I’d love to drink. Absolutely splendid fruit qualities; they ring and ring into the finish, like a great cathedral bell. | 17.5

Stephan Reinhardt | Pale gold. Full and ripe natural fruit aromas, including spicy scents from the pips. Quite rich and powerful on the palate, slightly burned, firm, very mineral and pure—in the end, slightly drying. Powerful. | 16
