Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth, bright. Concentrated nose of rose-petal, great charm. Palate rich and layered, perhaps a bit too much of a good thing now but looks good for the future. Drink from 2015 for 10+ years. 16.5
Andrew Jefford: Deep and dense in color; the meniscus is still profound. Rather evolved aromas—light and somewhat reedy in style—but very deep and articulate, churning out a great mill of scent. Attractive, diverting, and compelling: red and black fruits, talc-pounded stones. On the palate, this is a rather aggressive, acid-dominated wine in which the red-fruit flavors seem to have modulated very swiftly toward more secondary flavors of stewed fruit. There’s lots there; it’s very grippy, yet acidity definitely has the upper hand—a shame after the fascinating aromatic profile. 14.5
Franco Ziliani: Dark ruby/violet color. Nose not perfectly clean, with some green notes and toasty oaky aspects. Unbalanced on the palate, with bitter tannins and a dry finish. Lack of harmony and elegance, not well balanced, and aggressive on the finish. 14.5
