Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red in appearance, on the cusp of opacity. Impressive: ample fruit volume here, fresh and pure, elegantly handled; clean, pure, and athletic. A lovely Margaux nose. Intense, deep, lively, not overly cool, with some appetizingly shapely tannins, this is a beautiful under-the-radar Margaux that will probably offer excellent value. It’s not a “great vintage” and it’s not the greatest wine of its commune in this vintage, but it is pure and true, very expressive of its place and its year and an undoubted success that will provide much short-to-mid-term drinking pleasure. | 89

Michael Schuster | Light, fragrant, gently gravelly nose; nicely balanced, fresh, supple, very lightly tannic wine. Fresh, red-fruit juicy with modest complexity and nice aromatic length. A pleasing lesser expression of the commune, very Margaux and very attractive already, will improve with a few more years. Now to 2029+. | 89
