Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red, though well off opaque. Warm, savory... Gravelly, with a chicken-skin fattiness, too. Assured, mature aromas already; not all fruit and high cheekbones. A little fruitier on the palate than the aromas suggested, and not particularly concentrated, but there’s stylistic assurance here, and the melange of fruit and savory notes is very attractive. A straightforward wine from good soils: vinous, innately complex, and with an exuberance and warmth that this vintage doesn’t always have. | 88
Michael Schuster | Light, gravel-marked nose; medium-full, fresh in acidity, finely tannic. A most attractively ripe fruit core, a sensibly limited extraction, nicely balanced, fruit-dominated lesser Pauillac, moderate in complexity, but without austerity, and which will be a welcoming glass from now on. Now to 2027+. | 87
