Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Very concentrated and candied, long, complex, real Sauternes harvested in the classic manner, with the power typical of the Haut-Sauternes hills. Touch of aggressive wood, but that will soften after three to four years. 17

Michael Schuster | Mid-gold; intense and very fresh to smell, a classy initial impression; crystalline and clear-cut to taste, intensely sweet, silky textured, concentrated and racy, with a great purity of pineapple and citrus flavors and subtle oak; rich and long and vital, beautifully balanced, and very Sauternes in its weight and proportions, with a marked botrytis spice and very fine length. A first-rate Raymond-Lafon. | 17.5
