Intense, close-textured, succulent, deep, long, and hugely resonant: grandiose Sauternes. Very concentrated and sweet, yet finely detailed, with honey, walnuts, almonds, lemon, pineapple, apricot, nectarine, peach... Almost anything that you might find in this appellation is here. Wonderful concentration, depth, drive—and harmony. As good as it could be in this vintage, and a grand sweet wine by any measure.
