Michel Bettane: Very rich and ripe noble rot, more on the Trockenbeerenauslese side than in a classic Sauternes or Barsac side, creamy and very rich in sugar. A higher level of transformed alcohol would give better balance. 17
Thierry Desseauve: Brown-gold color, wax aromas, thick body, lack of freshness. 15
Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; dense, waxy, botrytis-complex nose; rich, generous, concentrated wine, with a fine defining acidity; intensely sweet, very long and complex to taste, a lovely Barsac purity and linearity of flavor, the great richness notwithstanding, and with superb, spicily aromatic length. A particularly concentrated expression of the commune, but retaining its Barsac vitality, too. Great Nairac. Wonderfully gratifying already, a great future, too. Splendid wine. Now to 2040+. 18.5
