BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Deep color, the structure and terroir definition are magnificent for the vintage; full tannins, racy, finishes with notes of cedar, lead pencil and even a bit of truffle—a classic Léoville in the offing. | 17.5

Michael Schuster | Sweetly ripe to smell; fresh, elegant, supple St-Julien; ripe, refined, and graceful to taste, quite complex, very nicely textured tannins and with excellent aromatic length. Class here not hidden by structure. A nice, juicy-cored interpretation of the year without, of course, the scope of a fine vintage. 2019–29. | 16.5
