Michel Bettane: Very Pauillac, with intense Havana and cedary undertones, big body, slightly dry on the finish, not the most refined 2009. 17
Thierry Desseauve: Intensity and depth. Excellent bouquet with red fruit, cedar, minerality; body with muscle, length; typically strong Pauillac you can keep in the cellar for 15–25 years. 17.5
Michael Schuster: Abundant ripe fruit to smell; rich, close-grained, tannic wine, with plenty of ripe, fleshy fruit within the firmly tannic frame; powerful, complex, aromatic Pauillac, with great tenacity of flavor and fine length, too; both dense and refined at once but, like so many, a long-term wine. 2025–40+. 17.5
