BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Very fine nose, with all the clear characteristics of the Carruades plateau, superb body, firm tannins; a second wine deserving of its status and price. | 17

Michael Schuster | Mid-purple; fresh, ripe raspberry fruit and subtle mineral; lovely balance in the year’s fresh style with very fine tannins; long and graceful to taste, subtly but distinctly gravelly behind the fruit, a distinct sweetness of flavor and lovely, very persistent, gently fragrant fruit length. Shows just what the vintage could do at its best. If this is indeed the final blend, it should be very good in its very particular style. 2018–26. | 17
