BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin | Medium-ruby in color, suggesting the presence of Grenache. Redcurrant and wild- strawberry nose with understated (no?) oak. Fresh and refined on the palate, if still youthful, with filigree tannins, appealing minerality, and a nice interplay between minerality and berry fruit. Easy to overlook the subtlety here. | 95

Simon Field | Gentle cherry hue, a hint of terra cotta... Elegant forward nose of plum, damson, hints of Seville orange, and spice. The palate majors on the damson notes, lissom and elegant of structure. An early release with great feminine, almost Burgundian charm and promise. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Light and translucent garnet-red. Evanescent scents, though nothing untoward. Simple, fresh, curranty wine in slightly stringy guise; colossal yields, one might guess, though at the right price it would provide enjoyable drinking. | 81
