Tim Atkin | Complex, herbal, with savory tannins, some balsamic top notes, hints of incense and iodine. Good acidity, subtle oak, and nice freshness. Possibly a little short on the finish, but the freshness is appealing. | 91
Simon Field | Ruby-red, only a touch of fade at the rim; nose of strawberry, camomile, and fig, hedgerow, and a whisper of mocha/chocolate. The palate is pleasant, campestral, but maybe a little lacking in definition and a sense of place, which has been more evident in some of the other examples in our tasting. | 87
Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red and now translucent. Aromatically, this begins in a bit of a muddle, clears somewhat, but then rather sinks back into a warm inarticulacy. It is concentrated and ripe on the palate and is a thoroughly satisfying drink; but it does lack all freshness, poise, and precision, so the score is for basic depth and delivery. | 87
