Simon Field | Bright, ruby-purple color, firm and welcoming. The nose is a little reticent; one senses pristine fruit behind an array of vanillin and oak. Hints of white pepper and briary confirm this impression. The palate is also reticent, dark chocolate notes, spring flowers, and a hint of lavender. A rococo structure, playful yet serious at the same time, its shades unfurling slowly but surely, as they will continue to do. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Saturated, midnight-black, with a purple rim. Ample, sweet, warm fruits with some citrus-peel complexities: attractive and forthcoming. Soft, rich, and deep fruits that have been articulately and attractively defined on the palate, as well as on the aroma. Long and resonant, with a little of the beefiness that this wine can acquire in maturity. The acidity is fine-lined and fruit- scented, bringing balance without aggression, and for me the alcohol is unobtrusive. A super effort here—bravo! | 93
Anthony Rose | A bright, youthful ruby in color, this is attractively fruity and spicy in classic Malbec vein, and the flavors confirm those first impressions. Dark cherry coated with a note of dark chocolate; nicely resolved oak and tannins add richness to the overall structure of a well-made red that is balanced and thoroughly enjoyable as a drink now, though it has a good five years plus ahead of it. | 93
