Andrew Jefford | Dark purple-black in color; no longer opaque. Sweet stones and calfskin rather than a pure-fruit lift, and the fruit more cherries than blackcurrants. Attractive withal. Pure, cool blackcurrant and cherry fruits, long, refined, and mouth-filling, with better inner ripeness than many. Plenty of acid provides the skeleton of the wine, but the flesh here means that you are left with a sense of energy rather than boniness. | 89
Michael Schuster | Distinctly red-fruit aromatic to smell; medium-full, fresh in acidity, firmly tannic; but within its Pauillac firm frame this has a very nice crisply fruity flavor of some complexity and good length of aftertaste. It will need but reward time, with a sappy succulence within its slight 2017 austerity. Give it a few more years, and this will be very pleasing. 2025–35+. | 89
