Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Not quite opaque but not far off. Somber, earthy and close-grained, while the top-note fruit has a genuinely perfumed quality to it: refined and very attractive. The sense of aromatic density and layering bodes well. Deep, intense, firm and assertive: every inch a Pauillac. Impressively gathered fruit concentration, and (for the vintage) a textured, full-weight palate. The fruit has the customary lunge and drive, but there is a little edging sweetness, too. Thoroughly satisfying. | 90
Michael Schuster | Sweetly ripe and blackcurranty to smell; medium-full wine with a good concentration of fruit, freshly defined and moderately firm tannin. A juicy flavor within its overall taut style, but with some complexity and very nice length; this will need, and most certainly reward, time. Currently this is a touch Pauillac-sinewy, but it will be good, given a bit of bottle age. 2027–37+. | 88
