Michael Schuster: fine ripe-fruit nose; beautifully balanced wine that wears its 14.5% effortlessly; rich, fleshy, very finely tannic wine, sweet-cored, long to taste, complex, racy, and complete, and with lovely fruit core and fruit length. Yes, it is a “big” wine for Pessac-Léognan, but it retains its harmony and overall satisfying balance. A very fine Smith Haut Lafitte, if in a weightier style. 2020–35+. 17+
