Andrew Jefford | Very deep, dark black-red. Cool, almost clipped tones, but there is a huge amount in here in dark and brooding style, almost as if it was 25% St-Estèphe. The fruits seem very fresh and pure if rather buttoned-down and inky for the time being. On the palate, this is in fact less true than the aromas suggested: the fruits are certainly fresh and pure, but they are also serene, smooth, full-fleshed, ringing, long, and resonant, with fine, downy tannins. A close-textured, impressive wine, with plenty of secret bass hidden away within that understated Pauillac style. | 92
Michael Schuster | A refined and subtle nose of ripe blackcurrant Cabernet and gravel shading; very nicely balanced medium-full wine, fresh in acidity, finely firm in tannin; sweet and juicy to taste, but long and subtle, too, considerable scope across the palate and then a fine length of aftertaste. Will need time to really show its paces. 2032–46+. | 93
