Andrew Jefford | Dark, saturated black-red. Beefy and earthy, with black cherry as well as blackcurrant: an exuberant and hugely enjoyable aromatic profile. Comforting and maternal within the Pauillac cohort, and with ample oak, too. This aromatic profile is exactly what you’ll find on the palate. Few wines in its commune are more generously endowed than this, and tracking this warm- hearted wine through its evolutionary trajectory will be hugely enjoyable. | 92
Michael Schuster | Sweetly ripe Cabernet essence to smell; rich medium weight wine, with a lovely balance of fruit to structure; firmly tannic, very fresh, nicely concentrated; deep, sweet, vital flavor, ample in texture, long and close-grained to taste, complex, refined, classy Lynch-Bages, with a great length of aftertaste. A splendid long-term LB. But delay your gratification! 2035–55+. | 93
