Andrew Jefford | Very deep, dark opaque black-red. Warm, amply fleshed, spicy, exotic, and broad-chested in aromatic terms, with exuberant and sweet- contoured fruits: a bit of a pasha. Very attractive for all that, I have to say, and no one will feel short-changed. On the palate, too, the wine is big, beefy, and exuberant, too, with lots of chewy tannins, dense plum fruits, and walloping wealth. It’s just a little bit indigestible for the time being so try to leave it for a few years to calm and settle down. | 92
Michael Schuster | A marked blackcurrant Cabernet and gravel to smell; medium-full, fresh, finely tannic, a very nice overall balance; briskly sweet and savory to taste, but also long and aromatic and complex across the palate, generous, tenacious, and persistent. A very successful, long-term second wine. 2030–45+. | 92
